Laundry Room Tips
In my home, my
laundry room is down stairs, near the garage. Many people have their washer and dryer located in the garage.
But in lots of newer construction, architects have been listening to owners who have asked for the laundry room to be located near the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Often times, in a two-story home, this means that the laundry room is located on an upper floor. They love it because it's much more convenient - no more running up
and down the stairs.
But I wonder how many of these owners have stopped to consider what lies beneath the laundry room in their home. Could it be that your family room is right below
this room and you've got thousands of dollars worth of electronic equipment situated right below the washer.
Have you ever had your washing machine hose pull away from the machine and spew water everywhere? Have you ever had a water hose actually break in the middle of
a cycle and cause a mini flood?
I've had more than one overflow simply because I set my machine on "small load" instead of "normal" or "heavy".
So when was the last time you checked the quality of your water hose? Did you know that most water leaks happen when no one is at home? The stainless-steel washing machine
hoses are more durable than the rubber ones. Consider changing yours before you have an unfortunate incident.
