Ask Yourself These All Important Questions

The first thing I want you to do is answer the questions you should be asking yourself right about now.

	Can people learn home staging from an online course or a book? Absolutely, unequivocally YES!!! Why do you think so many colleges and universities are now offering online courses to students like never before in a wide variety of subjects? Why is the book publishing business a multi-billion dollar industry? Every year there are more and more classes going online. The students benefit in a multitude of ways, such as lower fees, total flexibility, total convenience, the ability to work at their own pace, the ability to get a 1:1 student/teacher ratio. I just finished a great 6-week course on some software program I wanted to learn. My daughter took 3 online courses in college and they were excellent classes, which she enjoyed very much and learned a tremendous amount.
	Are people really making money in this field? Yes, some are extremely successful (like myself) and others are making fantastic supplemental income. There are millions of homeowners with a dire need for this type of service. Moving is stressful enough and many don't know what to do or have the time to do it themselves. Someone's got to help them - why not you? Why not now - while it's still a ground floor opportunity? Each person brings their own uniqueness to the equation. They remind me of all of the modeling and acting "schools" you see advertised everywhere promising aspiring models and entertainers to train them and get them work as licensed agencies. They are only interested in taking people's money and do not do for them what they advertise. We sometimes use the word "course" to separate our all-inclusive programs from our a la carte items (for clarity reasons only), but that's as close to an educational term as we get. If a website owner uses academic terms with regard to describing their company, buyer beware. If they pretend to be something they are not just with the choice of their domain name, ask yourself, what else are they doing that is pretentious and deceiving?
	Do I want access to my trainer after I complete the training? You will enjoy on-going complimentary access to me by email (even by phone if you want it) so you are never left alone or abandoned regarding your business. Personal responses are sent usually the same day questions are received. You can send me photos to evaluate, call me, write me. Unless I'm sick or out of the country, you will receive a response the same day I get your inquiry. If you paid me privately, it would cost you $10,000 and be a great investment for your business. 	Do I want access to the trainer others are trying to emulate? While others reduce their training programs to cut costs, I keep making mine better and better, all at the same very affordable price. I will guide you step-by-step in the right direction. I just got an email from a gal who took the seminar route and then took my training. Here's what she wrote: "I have found your site and information to be well worth the money and wish I would have found you sooner. I have been trying to get (name of her organization) to come up with a more detailed program. They are content with what they have and I was forced to do more research which is how I found out about your site. (Anonymous)"
	What about websites that claim to have super high traffic to their directories? There's traffic - and then there's traffic. It doesn't mean anything unless it is the right kind of traffic. One trainer claims boldly to have the most traffic to her directory of anyone on the internet, but the traffic is mainly between students chatting with each other. What you aren't being told is that the vast majority of HER traffic is coming from students who go to the membership portion of her website several times for their training or to chat with each other. That's NOT the kind of traffic that will make YOU any money because the traffic is NOT coming from consumers looking to hire a stager. So it's very misleading to be boasting about traffic without being honest about the nature of the traffic. Again you'll only get the straight forward truth here or from our sister sites.
	What do you think of the mini website promised by some trainers? Having an online presence of some kind can be helpful, but it sure isn't the key to success as some people would have you believe. First of all, a 4-5 page mini website isn't going to be found by anyone through a search engine, no matter who's hosting it. If anyone promises they will "optimize" your site to be found and submit it to the search engines is misleading you. On top of that, there are hefty annual fees to continue (usually 2-3 times the going rate), huge restrictions on making changes and if you opt to host the site elsewhere at the end of the first year, you'll lose presence. So like it or not you'll be "stuck". Then there's the matter of duplicate content. You'll be competing with all the other students with content identical to yours. The search engines won't even index your pages when they are duplicate copy to another page somewhere. There are millions of websites already in the staging and redesign industry, all vying for top positions in the search engines who have been around a long time. A small "brochure site" like that isn't going anywhere, trust me, and won't stand a chance up against major sites. Only large, content filled websites have a chance to inch their way up the organic listings and one has to work very, very hard for a long time to achieve top rankings - or pay top dollar in the pay-per-click sponsored ad section. You would have to spend thousands of dollars each month to be found that way and could lose a small fortune very quickly. It's not for amateurs, that's for sure. I just found one trainer advertising a single web page on her directory for a whopping $695 per year, with one change per year, where the bulk of the links on the page lead people to her, not to you. That's over $50 per month for very, very information, mostly "canned" or "duplicated" copy, which is 5 times the going rate for a website of your very own with no duplicate copy. Buyer beware! I'll host a website page indefinitely for you (An Actual Trainee's Page) to give you a web presence right away, assuming you submit the proper information for me to post for you. I'll host it for you indefinitely if you join the International Staging and Redesign Directory or become a Gold or Diamond level trainee. But don't make the mistake of thinking that the world is going to beat a path to you and find you from a search engine with a single page or even an actual small mini-website. Nowadays you have to have a more substantial website of hundreds of pages at least, optimized by very knowledgeable webmasters to have a chance of being found, and that takes months (correction, more like years) to achieve, if at all, unless you pay handsomely to be found. A word to the wise should be sufficient on this subject. Don't be duped. I'm telling you like it is - and I'm the only one who will do that. Lastly, many people are being fooled into thinking that the domain name (URL) that they pick out will actually belong to them. A WhoIs search recently revealed that the majority of time the trainer registered the domain name in the trainer's name, not the name of the student, thus making the trainer the owner, not the student. Sad to say, many people are being led astray by these types of tactics. We don't do those kinds of things here.
	What do you think of membership training sites in the industry? Again I have to say "Buyer Beware". Let's say you take training from a membership site and you say or do something they don't like. Bam! You're deleted from their membership site, can't get access to the training because they have terminated your password and username, and they've dismantled the tiny website they stuck you with. Stay independent. Protect yourself. I offer you training in the form of ebooks and manuals, CDs, tools of the trade - everything you need to be successful on your own independent of me. I don't force anyone to have to build their business by joining a membership site that really benefits the trainer because of the additional traffic that gets generated. I think you should be free to run your business as you see fit and retain your training tools and materials in complete freedom forever. What would happen to you and your training, your business, your website if their site got banned from the search engines? You'd be starting all over again by yourself.>
	Do I want to be associated with other professionals in the industry? I will train you in professional etiquette and give you the standards of professionalism I expect from myself. The rest is up to you.
	Do I want to associate with other professionals who believe in educating their clients and respecting their wishes, not promoting their own private agenda? I teach all my students to treat their clients the way they would want to be treated. I was just hired to work on a multi-million dollar home because the client had been bullied and badgered by the interior designer and architect and not allowed to bring out her own personality in her home. How sad. It gives us all a bad name.
	Will I be truly independent afterwards and totally in charge of my business? You will be completely independent of any outside interference when you train with me. You will never have to worry about any organization or association placing restrictions on how you run your business, manage your business or promote your business. When you consider the long term effects of total independence, this is a very important ingredient to protect at all times.
